CDI Completed the transformation of the existing show bar to a lovely Marina Bar and Stage, including an upgrade of supporting facilities such as toilets, changing, cellar, bar servery and The Wondershop.
CDI took the Mechanical, Electrical and Public Health Services Design up to RIBA stage 3, with the production of Tender documents and Tender Analysis. We continued with Site inspections identifying defects and helping with final commissioning.
Air conditioning was upgraded to new Air Source Heat Pumps, DX split systems and new AHU. Electric heating was installed in the Back of House areas. Gas, water and electric metering were linked to the existing BMS and automated switching was implemented to the lighting.
All of the above made this show bar more energy efficient.
Challenges included detailed coordination of ductwork with the existing steelwork structure. All services and trusses were exposed and therefore required a coordinated and neat finish.
The low floor to underside of trusses distance and small gaps through the trusses made it very challenging to fit the ductwork.
