A major investment at Dundonald Links

Updated: Mar 17, 2021

All systems go on Dundonald Links Golf course in Ayrshire, home of past Scottish Open.

Phase one will bring eighteen new six, four and two bed lodges, with three private practice putting greens on their doorstep. In addition, there will be 22 private rooms. New luxury Clubhouse will have its own gym amongst other facilities. Phase two will see further expansion of the lodge accommodation, with permission to build a further 79 lodges.

New pre-fabricated lodges are being installed and connected

The new two-storey building of Clubhouse, designed by NBDA Architects, will be created from natural materials with a sloping dune grass roof, blending seamlessly with the landscape and sympathetic to the surroundings and the environment.

Sheffield office of CD International has been involved in the development from the start, incorporating the most energy and resource efficient servicing strategy, designing infrastructure and working with architects and the club owners, Darwin Escapes, to ensure the systems selected in line with the sustainability strategy of the group.

Services being designed in Revit are easy to coordinate and efficient to install.

Our continuous commitment to sustainability is aligned with the ethos of our long-term client, Darwin Escapes. We have been working on their resorts and retreats to help to minimise their impact on the natural environment and futureproof the developments.
